How to Use pirix
Complete guide to the advanced browser-based photo editor
1. Open the Editor
Click Open Editor on the homepage or go directly to the Editor page. No registration or login is required.
2. Upload Your Image
Drag and drop a photo into the upload zone or click to select a file from your device. Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WEBP. The image is loaded only into your browser’s memory — it is never uploaded to any server.
3. Add Text
Click the T button in the toolbar. A text box appears. Double-click it to type your text. Use the left sidebar to change:
- Font family (Inter, Montserrat, Playfair Display…)
- Font size
- Color
- Bold / Normal
- Alignment (left, center, right)
- Text shadow
You can add as many text layers as you like.
4. Add Shapes & Logo
Use the shape buttons (rectangle, circle, triangle, line) to highlight parts of the image or create design elements. To add a logo or second image, click the image icon and select a file. Resize and position it freely.
5. Apply Filters
Select the background photo (or any image layer) and click one of the filter buttons: Black & White, Sepia, Vintage, Brightness, Contrast, Saturation or Blur.
6. Crop & Resize
Click the crop tool, adjust the selection rectangle, then click Apply Crop. For social media sizes, use the quick presets (Instagram 1:1, Story, Facebook Cover, YouTube, etc.).
7. Manage Layers
The Layers panel shows every object. Click an item to select it. Use the ↑ / ↓ buttons to change stacking order.
8. Undo / Redo
Every action is recorded. Use the undo/redo buttons or keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y (Cmd on Mac).
9. Download
When you are happy with the result, click Download PNG (transparent background support) or JPG. The file is generated instantly in your browser and saved to your device.
Privacy Note
All processing happens locally using the HTML5 Canvas API and Fabric.js. We never receive your images or any personal data related to them. You can even use the editor offline after the first page load.
