Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

pirix (“we”, “our”, “the Service”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect (and what we deliberately do not collect) when you use our website and online photo editor.

1. Core Principle – No Image Data Collection

The photo editor runs entirely in your web browser using HTML5 Canvas and the Fabric.js library. Images you open or edit are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party server controlled by us. Processing happens locally on your device. We therefore never have access to the content of your photos.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

3. Technical Data

Like most websites, our web server (or CDN) may automatically log standard technical information such as:

This data is used solely for security, abuse prevention and aggregated traffic analysis. It is not linked to any individual identity.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use essential cookies required for the website to function. If we use analytics or advertising cookies (for example Google Analytics or Google AdSense), we will request your consent where required by law (e.g. GDPR / ePrivacy). You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or any consent banner we display.

5. Advertising

The free Service is supported by a limited number of advertisements. Third-party ad networks (such as Google AdSense) may set their own cookies and collect data according to their own privacy policies. We do not sell personal data. Ads are clearly labeled.

6. Legal Bases (GDPR)

Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, our processing of technical log data is based on legitimate interests (security and service improvement). Advertising cookies, if used, rely on consent.

7. Data Retention

Because we do not store user images or personal accounts, there is no retention period for such data. Server logs are typically retained for a limited period (e.g. 30–90 days) for security purposes.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Since we hold almost no personal data about individual users of the editor, most requests can be answered quickly. Contact us using the details below.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact

For privacy-related questions: privacy@pirix.pages.dev (replace with your real contact email when deploying).
