How to Add a Watermark to Protect Your Photos
A simple guide using our free private tool
A watermark is text or a logo placed on a photo to show ownership and discourage unauthorized use. Here’s how to add one quickly.
1. Open the editor
Go to the Photo Editor or the dedicated Watermark page.
2. Upload your photo
Drag and drop or select an image. It is processed only in your browser – nothing is sent to any server.
3. Add text or logo
Click Font to add text (your name, website, © symbol). Or open More → Logo to upload your logo image.
4. Adjust the watermark
- Lower the Opacity so it doesn’t hide the photo
- Resize and place it in a corner or center
- Add a light shadow for better readability
- Optionally use Pad for a semi-transparent background behind the text
5. Download
Export as PNG (recommended) or JPG. Your watermarked photo is ready to share.
